Every website will need a domain name and a hosting package to be uploaded to the Internet. We are more than happy to purchase/manage these services on your behalf or we can help you purchase it by your own payment method.

What is a Domain name?

A domain name is an address which allows your website to be found. Your domain name is the “www.jaileadesign.com.au” part of the URL in the website address bar. Each website has
a unique domain name which is stored in a Domain Name Server (DNS).

We suggest using Net Registry to register your domain name.

Things to keep in mind when choosing a Domain name:

> Choose a domain easy to remember.
> Keep all lowercase letters to keep it simple.
> Try and keep simple spelling.
> Avoid words which may be misspelt.
> The shorter the domain, the better.
> Choose words which relate to your business.
> Adding keywords as domain will help search engine ranks.
> Avoid slang language.
> Copyright free (use an unique business name).

What is Hosting?

Hosting is the method of renting space to store your website data/files. The domain name points to a certain hosting server to show your website. This is called delegation. The main job of a server is to hold the files until they are needed or a user opens and loads your website.

Each hosting package has different features and there are many options available. We suggest purchasing your hosting after you have spoken to us about your website requirements to avoid choosing the incorrect package.

Please note that all hosting and domain services is paid for on behalf of the client by Jailea Design. If payment is overdue, the client website will be temporarily down until payment is received and an additional fee may be charged for upload time.
